## Twenty years. One person. Zero account managers.

Rivmedia is a one-person digital services business in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, established 2006. Web design, SEO, hosting and custom development for small businesses across the UK, all done by the person you actually talk to.

## From 2006 to now, the short version

2006

### Started in the recession

Rivmedia opened its doors in the least sensible year possible, and survived it by doing the thing that still defines the business: honest work, priced fairly, for small businesses that couldn’t afford agency waste.

2010s

### WordPress, deeply

As WordPress became the web’s workhorse, Rivmedia went deep: design, development, hosting, security and performance, the full stack that now underpins the maintenance and care services hundreds of sites rely on.

2010

### Communities & forums

Building and running XenForo communities, and the SEO plugin suite that grew from making forums rank, turned into a specialist service few in the UK offer.

2020s

### Platforms of our own

Number plate builder ecommerce, a 72-million-record DVLA search with AI valuations, and the Competition Engine for prize-draw businesses: real products, run commercially, keeping the advice grounded in operating reality, not theory.

### Still small on purpose

Twenty years in, Rivmedia remains deliberately one person with a trusted network for specialist overflow. Small means senior work on every job, direct answers, and a reputation that has to survive the school run.

## The rules the business runs on

Rule one

### You deal with me, always

No account managers translating, no juniors learning on your invoice, no ticket queues. The person who quotes, builds, optimises and answers the phone is the same person.

Rule two

### Fixed means fixed

Every quote is written, itemised and honoured. Scope changes get priced before they happen. Twenty years without a surprise invoice is a record worth protecting.

Rule three

### Honest, even when it costs

If SEO isn’t the right spend yet, or the cheaper option serves you better, I’ll say so. Short-term revenue lost to honesty comes back as clients who stay a decade.

### Operator, not just supplier

I run my own trading platforms and communities in competitive markets. The advice you get has been tested with my own money first.
