Websites & SEO for charities that need to be found, be trusted and be easy to give to.
Web design, development and search visibility for charities, CICs, community groups, faith organisations, hospices, animal rescues and membership bodies. Your site has to reassure a donor, guide someone in need, recruit a volunteer and satisfy a funder, often on a budget and with a team of two. We build sites that do all of that and are simple to run.

Why worthy causes get overlooked online
The site was a favour, years ago
Built by a volunteer or a supporter’s agency, now impossible to update, slow on phones and quietly failing accessibility rules.
Giving is harder than it should be
A “donate” button that leads to a third-party page with a form nobody finishes. Every extra step costs gifts and Gift Aid.
Great work, invisible online
The service pages people in need actually search for do not exist, so they find a national site or nothing, and funders cannot see what you achieve.
How we help charities reach the people who matter
Service pages written for the person in need — plain language, on a phone, with the next step obvious. These are also the pages that rank, because they answer real searches.
Donations built in, not bolted on — one-off and monthly gifts, Gift Aid declaration, Apple and Google Pay, with the whole thing on your site and your branding. Fewer steps, more completed gifts.
Google Ad Grants — eligible charities can claim up to $10,000 a month of Google search advertising free. We help you qualify, set it up and keep the account compliant, which most grants quietly fail.
Local visibility — Google Business Profile, local directories and content for the areas you serve, so “food bank” or “bereavement support” plus your town finds you.
Impact and governance made visible — outcomes, stories, annual reports, trustees and accounts easy to find: what funders and cautious donors look for before committing.
Volunteer and event journeys — clear roles, simple sign-up and event listings that sync to your calendar, with the admin landing in one inbox rather than five.
Search is how people in need and people who give both find you
Charity SEO is unusual: you are trying to be found by beneficiaries, donors, volunteers and funders at the same time, with different words and different needs. Most charity sites rank for their own name and nothing else.
We map how each audience searches and build the content to meet them: service and advice pages for beneficiaries, cause and impact pages for donors, role pages for volunteers, and the governance pages funders check. Layered on top: your Google Business Profile, local citations, and the Ad Grant account that puts you at the top of results for free. We measure the outcomes that matter, whether that is completed donations, helpline calls, referrals or volunteer applications, and report in language a board understands.
Beneficiary-first content. Advice and service pages that rank because they help. This is the most valuable SEO a charity can do and the most overlooked.
Ad Grants as a force multiplier. Free search ads sitting above the organic results, run properly so the account stays compliant and actually spends.
Trust signals for donors. Registered charity number, accounts, trustees, Fundraising Regulator badge, safeguarding policies: present, findable, current.
Reporting for boards and funders. Plain numbers on reach, engagement and outcomes, ready to drop into a funding application or trustee pack.
From a website that works to a digital presence that raises money
Start with the fundamentals, add what your capacity allows. Everything is built so a small team can run it without calling us.
Charity websites
Accessible, fast, clearly structured sites with donations, events and volunteer sign-up built in.
Donations and Gift Aid
Integrated giving with Stripe, GoCardless, PayPal or your existing provider, monthly giving and Gift Aid capture.
Google Ad Grants
Eligibility, application, account build and ongoing compliance for the free search advertising.
Content writing
Service pages, impact stories and appeals written plainly and sensitively. See content writing.
Care and hosting
Updates, backups, security and edits on a monthly plan sized for charity budgets. See care plans.
Accessible, honest and easy to run
A charity website is judged by people in difficult moments and by people deciding whether to trust you with money. Design for both, and keep it simple enough that whoever joins the team next can update it.
Accessibility as standard
WCAG 2.1 AA: contrast, keyboard navigation, screen-reader friendly, plain language. A legal expectation for many funders and the right thing to do.
Donate in two taps
A giving flow on your own site with Apple and Google Pay, suggested amounts, monthly options and Gift Aid, tested on the phones your donors actually use.
Calm, clear service pages
For people who are worried or in crisis: what you do, who it is for, how to get help, in that order, with the phone number visible.
Stories and impact
Case studies, numbers and photos that show the difference you make, written with consent and care.
Events, volunteering and news
Listings your team can add in minutes, with sign-ups that land in one place and sync to your calendar.
Funder-ready governance
Trustees, accounts, policies and your charity number where they can be found, so due diligence is a formality.
Systems that save a small team hours a week
Charities run on volunteers and goodwill. The right tooling gives both back time.
Charity websites that convert care into action
Accessible, trustworthy and simple to update. See web design.
Members, supporters and volunteers
Member areas, supporter accounts, volunteer rotas and gated resources. See membership websites.
Referrals, bookings and CRM
Referral forms that route correctly, appointment booking, Beacon or Donorfy integration and automated thank-yous. See custom web development.
Quoted to your charity, with your budget in mind
A community group with a single page of information and a regional charity with services, donations, events and a volunteer programme are very different projects. We ask what you need to achieve and what you have to spend, and quote a fixed figure in writing. We can also help you frame the work for a funding application.
Fixed, in writing
A short call or our project brief, then a written quote with exactly what is included. The figure does not move unless you ask for more.

Charity web design and SEO questions
We have almost no budget. Is this realistic?
Often, yes. A clear, accessible site with donations built in can be modest, and there is a pay-monthly route that spreads the cost. Google Ad Grants, if you qualify, is $10,000 a month of advertising for nothing. Tell us honestly what you can spend and we will tell you what is achievable.
What is Google Ad Grants and do we qualify?
A Google programme giving eligible registered charities up to $10,000 a month in search advertising credit. Most UK registered charities qualify, with some exclusions such as hospitals, schools and governmental bodies. The catch is that accounts must meet quality rules or they get suspended; we set them up to stay compliant.
Can we take donations directly on the site?
Yes, and you should. One-off and monthly gifts with Apple and Google Pay, Gift Aid declaration and automatic receipts, on your own branded pages. Fewer redirects means more completed gifts.
Do we have to meet accessibility standards?
Public-sector bodies must; charities are expected to under the Equality Act and by most funders, and it is simply right for the people you serve. We build to WCAG 2.1 AA as standard.
Can our volunteers update the site?
Yes. Adding news, events and photos is designed to be easy, and we provide short guides and training. Anything more involved is covered by a care plan so nobody has to wrestle with it.
Will SEO help people who need our services find us?
This is the most valuable thing SEO can do for a charity. Well-written advice and service pages rank for the searches people in need make, and they find you instead of a national site or nothing at all.
Can you connect to our CRM or donor database?
Yes: Beacon, Donorfy, Salesforce, Blackbaud and others. Donations, sign-ups and referrals can flow straight in, cutting the manual re-entry.
Can you help with funding applications?
We can provide costed proposals, specifications and outcome measures in the form funders expect, and we are used to working to grant timelines and reporting requirements.
We are a CIC, not a registered charity. Does this apply?
Most of it does. Ad Grants requires charity registration, but everything else, from accessible design to donations, events and local search, applies to CICs, community groups and social enterprises.
How much does a charity website cost?
It depends on how many services and audiences it must serve and whether donations, membership or referrals are involved. We quote a fixed figure in writing, offer a monthly option, and will tell you plainly what can wait until the next funding round.
Reach the people who need you, and the people who fund you.
Tell us about your charity, who you serve and what is getting in the way online. We will suggest what to fix first, what it would cost, and whether Ad Grants could pay for the reach.
